Bethel Essentials
Bethel Essentials are the beliefs and practices that are core to being a surrendered follower of Jesus. Our definition of a disciple is someone who is surrendered to Jesus, being transformed by Jesus and committed to the mission of Jesus. Bethel Church’s mission is to “Live sent together” in the mission of Jesus.
You might look at our “Essentials” as the anchors that hold our doctrinal orthodoxy in place. They include knowledge that we must engage with, a belief that we must be committed to, and an action that we must surrender to and obey.
The “Essentials” include:
Jesus alone is life.
The purpose of my life is God’s glory.
God’s Word is my authority for faith and life.
I am created for community.
As a Jesus follower, I am a part of God’s family.
Bethel Essentials is a class that is offered throughout the year for those that would like to take their understanding of our beliefs and practices to a different level. Each “Essential” is broken down into both a belief and a practice and then examined through the lens of scripture.
